Royal Opera House (Finished Backdrop)

This is a picture of the finished backdrop for Virginia Woolf's French production, 'Between the Acts' which I helped paint during my time at the Royal Opera House in Purfleet.

I spent a few days at the Royal Opera House in Purfleet helping to paint the back drop for the French production 'Between the Acts' by Virginia Woolf.

I enjoyed these three days of painting very much and through learning this new skill I have decided that I would like to do some painting alongside construction work in the industry. I hope to work with the Royal Opera House in the near future, I enjoyed my time there very much.

Work Experience with Footprint Scenery (2012)

At the beginning of 2012 I worked with Footprint Scenery in Peckham, London for several weeks whilst there I helped with many different projects, but one of the most unforgettable moments was helping out with the things for the opening cermenoy's of the London 2012 Olympic and Para Olympic games.

Here are a few things I helped out with:

The levers for when the chimneys were raised ...

... and the bodysuits with the countries names attached worn underneath the dresses in the parade (I'll never forget those couple of days screwing hundreds of bolts on by hand ... my fingers were burning by the end of it).

I also helped to prepare the umbrellas for the parade in the opening ceremony of the Para Olympic games.

Third Year Show

I have my third year show coming up 'New Blades' it will be held on the Thursday 13th June 2013 between 10am and 5pm, after 5pm it will be strictly businesses only. The address for this show is as follows:

There will be many people showing their work from many places around Kent so come along and have a look, it doesn't cost anything to get in and should be a great show.
